I've been practicing since I was 16, so 8 years now.
Two main things: I did martial arts as a kid for 8 years and fell in love with the discipline and history of it, and wanted to pursue something similar in my adult life. And, I've known Lucy Feaster since I was 5 years old and followed her teaching and classes. She got me hooked not only on the practice, but also the community that surrounds it.
My favorite pose is half moon because it makes me feel open, in balance and challenged.
FROG! I hold a lot of tension and emotion in my hips, so it's very difficult for me to let that go. I also don't like to sit still for very long, but this quarantine has definitely been showing me that I need to do just that.
"Maybe You Should Talk to Someone" by Lori Gottlieb
It's about a therapist's experience in therapy, the human experience as a whole, and connection. Highly recommend!
