I've been practicing yoga since 2003!
I got into teaching yoga after my fourth baby was born. My heart would not stop telling me it was what I needed to do, even though my brain was telling me I already had a lot to manage. I'm so grateful I listened to love instead of fear, teaching has changed my world and allowed me to be an even more patient and present mama.
My fave yoga pose is skandasana because it makes me feel strong. It also brings me back to the moment I knew I had to be a teacher, I felt how powerful that posture was and knew it was something I had to share.
Chair pose. I resist that posture more than anything else! Part of the reason why is I am mindful of my tricky back so I adjust it to more of a squat. The other part is- I just really hate that pose lol!
My favorite quote is from my first yoga teacher, "thoughts become things." I love the simplistic reminder on how powerful our minds are.
